Candle Of The Week: French Gimlet

This week there is cause for celebration. The Candle Library team is down in Sydney for Life Instyle and although working hard by day, we will be sipping on cocktails by night.

It is only fitting then, that our Candle Of The Week is the thirst quenching French Gimlet from the Mixology range by Paddywax.

The Gimlet is said to originate from British Sailors in the 19th Century who mixed their gin with lime to keep scurvy at bay. Inspired by the French Gimlet; a sophisticated concoction of gin, elderflower liqueur and lime, this classic candle is zesty and floral with a hint of sweet grapefruit.

The perfect accompaniment for a boozy night in with friends, it even comes with the cocktail specs on the back so there is no excuse for an empty glass:

2 oz of dry gin
1 oz elderflower liqueur
1 oz lime juice
1 slice of lime
Combine gin, elderflower liqueur and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake mixture with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail coupe. Garnish with Lime.

Hand poured in the U.S using soy wax and poured into a reusable glass vessel with art deco pattern.
