In the winter months you can’t beat a classic Whiskey Sour to warm your cockles – it’s simple yet delicious and we love it!
Whisky O’clock by The Candle Library is this weeks Candle of the Week, so in keeping with our whisky theme, here is an easy recipe to help you concoct the perfect Whiskey Sour courtesy of the bartenders at St Elmo Byron Bay…
- 60ml Bourbon (or Scotch if you prefer)
- 30ml lemon juice
- 15ml sugar syrup
- 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
- egg white
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake hard. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice. Shake hard. Double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a lemon (twist or wedge) and Maraschino Cherry.
So, there you have it! Once you try it you will never look back!
