TCL Presents: Boy Smells
Boy Smells has landed on Australian shores and it's fair to say we are excited about the new kid on the block!
Established in 2014, by David Kien and Matthew Herman in the Pico-Union District of LA, the current range of 13 uniquely expressive scents, resurrects personal memories of times gone by and brings them to life in a vibrant, contemporary context.
Boy Smells capture luxury fragrances in bold, yet sleek, black and pink packaging that is both smooth and rich on the burn thanks to a luscious blend of coconut oil and beeswax.
Under the jovial surface of the name, there is a conscious nod towards re-writing the rules around gender and scent. Creators, David and Matthew, poke fun at gender stereotypes by combining the name Boy Smells with pink packaging and in doing so, confront these out of date stereotypes - essentially, everyone can like whatever scent they like across the spectrum of "masculine" to "feminine".
